Hyderabad: 71-year-old Omani dies at airport

The body of Mr Shamis Al Farsi, was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital and efforts are on to despatch the body to Oman.

Hyderabad: Mr. Shamis Al Farsi, 71-year-old Omani national, who was travelling from Muscat to Bangkok for a medical treatment, died at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Wednesday morning after the Oman Air flight took a diversion for an emergency landing.
The Oman Air unit at the RGIA obtained the clearances from the customs and the immigration wings for a temporary landing permit. However, doctors at the RGIA medical centre declared the Omani brought dead.
The body of Mr Shamis Al Farsi, was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital and efforts are on to despatch the body to Oman.
