Lucknow: A case has been filed against actor Prakash Raj on the complaint lodged by a Lucknow-based lawyer for his recent remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A Lucknow court ordered the registration of FIR on a complaint submitted before it by a lawyer Sardar Parvinder Singh. The case has been listed for October 7.

Actor Prakash Raj has stirred up a controversy when he questioned the ‘absolute silence’ of the Prime Minister on the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh.

The actor is reportedly a close friend of the Lankesh family and he said that the Prime Minister and other leaders were acting as if nothing had happened despite their followers on the social media having celebrated the killing.

The actor was also quoted as saying that the Prime Minister was a better actor than him and he should give the acting awards he had won to the PM.
