Sanatana Dharma remarks: BJP compares Udhayanidhi to Hitler

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday drew parallel between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks on Sanatan Dharma and German dictator Adolf Hitler’s diatribe against the Jews.

“There is eerie similarity between how Hitler characterised the Jews and Udhayanidhi Stalin described Sanatan Dharma. Like Hitler, Stalin Jr also demanded that Sanatan Dharma be eradicated… We know how Nazi hate culminated in Holocaust, killing approx 6 million European Jews and at least another 5 million Soviet prisoners of war and other victims,” the BJP said through its official Twitter handle.

“Uday Stalin’s meditated comment is unadulterated hate speech and a call for genocide of 80% population of Bharat, who follow Sanatan Dharma. Congress and I.N.D.I Alliance support for Stalin’s bile is most disconcerting,” the BJP said.

In his address in Tamil at a meet of Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association here on Saturday, Udhayanidhi likened Sanatana Dharma to coronavirus, malaria, fever caused by dengue virus and mosquito, and said that such things should not be opposed but destroyed.

The DMK leader was speaking on the theme of the meeting "Sanatan elimination".

In his first comment on Jews that Hitler made on September 16, 1919, he characterized the effect of a Jewish presence as a “race-tuberculosis of the peoples”.
