AP ready to set up forest university in collaboration with Auburn Varsity: Botsa

Vijayawada: Education minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that the Andhra Pradesh government was ready to set up a forest university in collaboration with Auburn University in Alabama in the US.

The minister was visiting Alabama and met the Auburn University officials in the US on Monday and held discussions with them on getting their collaboration for setting up a forest university in AP.

The minister explained to them how the AP government was giving top priority to promotion, especially in higher education, as it was going to fill up nearly 2,600 vacant faculty members in the universities, and also informed them about how English was being taught to the students at the school level.
