Hyderabad: Experts call for quantum cryptography

Hyderabad: Quantum cryptography, which is an emerging technology that protects data from being hacked, uses quantum mechanics in the process of encrypting data transit. At present, data, which is transferred via fibre optic cables, is stored in 0 and 1. However, in quantum cryptography, data stored in 0, 1 and both, making it harder to eavesdrop.

In the conference, next gen technologies such as Quantum Security, Zero Trust, and Micro Segmentation were presented by experts that have immense potential in safeguarding critical infrastructure of both public and private enterprises.

Dr Anindita Banerjee, Quantum Security Specialist said, “This (Quantum cryptography) gives leverage of exponentially increasing information processing capacity of Quantum system.”

Sai Krishna, chairman, GCSF, predicted Quantum Security as the next frontier to solve challenges for public infrastructure.
