KRMB team postpones today’s RLIS visit

AP government had objected to the visit, maintaining that it will allow the KRMB team to visit RLIS provided it has no member from Telangana

Kurnool: In a curious development, the team of Krishna River Management Board (KMRB) has postponed its Thursday’s visit of inspecting the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme (RLIS) being executed near Pothireddypadu.

Andhra Pradesh government had objected to the visit, maintaining that it will allow the KRMB team to visit RLIS provided it has no member from Telangana. Engineer-in-chief Narayana Reddy had even written a letter to the board in this regard. He contended that the motive of TS members will be only political, which is objecting to works going on at Pothireddypadu.

It is stated that KRMB will announce a new date for inspecting RLIS after taking into consideration suggestions and objections raised by the contending states of Telangana and AP over Narayana Reddy.
