Hyderabad: One person was injured seriously and three others escaped with minor injuries when the SUV in which they were travelling overturned on the Srisailam Hyderabad Highway on Thursday night. The incident happened when the SUV’s driver overtook a car ahead.
The victims were rushed to a nearby private hospital.
Sources said there were four passengers in the vehicle including a woman, all residents of Hyderabad. They were returning to Hyderabad after a function. When the vehicle reached Rachaluru Gate in Maheshwaram the driver overtook a car ahead and swerved to the left. While doing so he lost control, hit an advertisement billboard by the roadside and rammed into a tree. The vehicle then overturned and came to a halt.
They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. One of the three men suffered a fracture on the hand. Police said that by the time they arrived at the spot the victims were shifted to hospital. They seized the vehicle and formed teams to trace the victims.
No complaint was filed about the incident.
