Chennai: Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems project has been implemented at all 1913 FIR registering police stations/ units in Tamil Nadu. People can now register their complaint online, view vehicle details online, sharing road accident documents, download mobile app besides using e-seva centers (common service centers) to use these facilities by paying a nominal charge.
The app (TN police citizen service) developed by the National Information Centre (NIC) aims to make it more accessible for the citizens to file a complaint. Not only can the public can register a complaint online they can also check the status of the online complaint, FIR, CSR and vehicle status. The public can register their complaint through the website (http://eservices.tnpolice.gov.in), and will receive an SMS from ‘TNPOL’ in both English and Tamil. At the e-seve centers people register complaint for Rs 20 and Rs 10 will be charged for finding CSR status, FIR status beside vehicle search each.
