Telangana, AP advocates to boycott HC today
Advocates from AP and Telangana practicing at Hyderabad High Court have decided to boycott work on Friday, though for different reasons.

The AP High Court Advocates’ Associat-(APHCAA) resolved to abstain from work to express solidarity with the courts boycott call given by districts bar associations in AP dema-nding special category status for AP.

APHCAA president C. Nageswara Rao said that majority of advocates from AP was of the opinion that the NDA had been denying the people of AP their rights for its political considerations.

The Telangana HC Advocates Association, meanwhile, resolved to boycott the High Court on Friday protesting against contempt proceedings against 13 advocates for their alleged high-handed behaviour during the recent agitation.

Mr Gandra Mohan Rao, president of the Association, said that all bar associations in the state would also boycott lower courts.
