Vijaya Sai Reddy no longer state representative
Though the GO was issued a fortnight ago, Mr Reddy didn’t assume office.
Vijayawada: The state government on Thursday withdrew its orders issued on June 22 appointing YSRC Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy as its special representative in Delhi.
The state government, through the GO, appointed Mr Reddy as “Special Representative of Government of Andhra Pradesh at AP Bhavan, New Delhi” with immediate effect.
Though the GO was issued a fortnight ago, Mr Reddy didn’t assume office.
The order came amidst concerns that Mr Reddy’s appointment as special representative may land into a controversy if he takes salary. This would have amounted to office of profit for an MP.
