Boost to eco-tourism in Telangana
HYDERABAD: Tier two cities of Telangana like Mahbubnagar, Warangal and Adilabad have got a major tourism boost with the government taking up eco-tourism projects worth Rs 180 crore. Farahbad forest in Mahbubnagar, Ali Sagar Park in Nizamabad and Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary in Jannaram have been chosen for eco-tourism, under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme.
Eco-tourism is a natural means to conserve and travel, observing the beauty of nature, the various flora and fauna, and being with the locals of that area. These cities were chosen as the tourism circuits under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme initiated by the Ministry of Tourism which provides Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to state governments/Union Territory Administrations, for various tourism projects in their respective states.
