Will get back 5 acres of land grabbed' by Prestige: Karnataka government
Thimmappa said the government had issued a notice in 2011 to the company for vacating the land.
The state government assured the Legislative Assmbly on Monday that it would recover over five acres of land encroached by Prestige Estate Group Company.
Answering a question by Devanahalli MLA MR Pilla Munishamappa, Revenue Minister Mr Kagodu Thimmappa said that the company had encroached the land in different survey numbers and had constructed luxury villas. Besides, they have sought regularising of the encroachment also, he said.
Expressing his displeasure, Mr Thimmappa said the government had issued a notice in 2011 to the company for vacating the land. Since then, nothing has happened. “This is how our taluk offices work. I have recently taken over and I will ensure the land is in government possession within a week,'' he said.
