Hyderabad: GHMC commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy on Monday ordered the supension of assistant medical officer T. Damodhar for sanctioning permission to set up gas godowns for RV Gas Agency, Gajularamaram, and Maruthi Gas Agency, JK Nagar, Subashnagar, without following norms.
The officer had issued permission in 2010 while working as AMHO at Circle 15. Without having due jurisdiction, he signed on the plans for LPG storage shed.
“Under sub rule (1) of rule 8 of AP Civil Services Cct, 1991, the officer is suspended until the conclusion of the disciplinary proceedings. He has been barred from leaving Hyderabad without obtaining permission and will not be paid subsistence allowance,” the commissioner said.
