Ravi to MBP: Where is your Lingayat CM?

Mr Patil had also tweeted asking if the BJP would ensure that Mr Yeddyurappa met the same fate as Mr Angadi.

Bengaluru: State general secretary of the BJP C.T. Ravi on Tuesday took on Home Minister M.B. Patil who had on Sunday claimed that the BJP had sidelined the dominant Lingayat community by not allotting any party MP from Karnataka a Cabinet berth,

Mr Patil had tweeted that four-time BJP MP, Suresh Angadi, a Lingayat was made only a minister of state and by doing so, the BJP had let down the community.

Responding to this, Mr Ravi posted a series of tweets telling Mr Patil, “Why are you talking about a Union Minister when @BJP4Karnataka is ready to make Sri @BSYBJP Chief Minister? If you are so genuinely concerned about Lingayats, why don't you resign from your post and support us to install the tallest Lingayat leader as CM?”

Mr Patil had also tweeted asking if the BJP would ensure that Mr Yeddyurappa met the same fate as Mr Angadi.

In reply, Mr Ravi said, “.....The BJP is ready to make Mr Yeddyurappa CM. You create the situation, we will make him the CM."
