CM Pinarayi Vijayan to launch KSFE Pravasi Chitty on June 12
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will launch the registration of subscribers for the KSFE Pravasi Chitty at the Assembly complex here on June 12. The KSFE aims at making the first online payment at a function to be held in UAE in last week of July or first week of August. At a press conference here, finance minister Thomas Isaac said the funds obtained through Pravasi Chitty would be invested in Bonds of KIIFB which in turn will be utilised for infrastructure development in the state.
After the inauguration of the registration, subscribers would get identification number and would be able to interact online. Isaac said a virtual branch of pravasi chitty would function from KSRTC Thampanoor complex soon. "A 24/7 call centre will be operate from the complex and the facility will be manned by 10 persons. We intend to go for10 lakh subscribers in two to three years time," he added.
Each subscriber joining the Chitty will be indirectly contributing to the infrastructural development of their home state besides ensuring that their hard earned money is safe and secure.KIIFB aims at mobilising Rs 10,000 crore through this ambitious chitty. The chitty is considered very helpful for the NRKs as it would entail attractive features including insurance coverage and pension schemes.
One of the most important features of the Pravasi Chitty is that it would completely function online. An advanced online technology platform has already been put in place which will enable any NRK living in any country, to subscribe to it and monitor the transactions from across the globe. The most significant aspect of the Chitty is the facility to participate in online auction from any part of the world. The Chitty also extends the facility for submitting the required documents for availing the prize money in a hassle free way. A 24/7 customer contact centre would be up and running soon.
