Pothole breaks biker's leg in Hyderabad

The incident occurred on Sunday on the busy Erragadda ESI stretch.

Hyderabad: Killer potholes in Hyderabad continue to be a danger to citizens. Despite strict instructions from Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to make the city pothole-free by May 31, pothole-ridden roads can still be seen in different parts of the city.

A 28-year-old employee of a construction firm, while riding on a bike, broke his leg, in an attempt to negotiate a pothole in the middle of the road, after his bike fell in it. The incident occurred on Sunday on the busy Erragadda ESI stretch.

Kondreddy Edukondalu, a resident of Champapet, is working as a supervisor in a construction company. On Sunday morning he went to a site in Kukatpally. After work he was returning home on his bike. While he was passing through the road on Erragadda to ESI stretch, he suddenly noticed a deep pothole in the middle of the road.

Unable to hit the brake in time, he drove ahead, but as soon as the front wheel dropped into the pothole, he lost control of the bike and it was thrown aside. He fell on the road along with the bike.
