Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued fresh thunderstorm warnings for the next 48 hours for isolated places over Telangana and north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Telangana till June 8. The highest temperature of 41.6° was recorded at Ramagundam and the lowest of 35° at Medak.
Coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh are likely to receive moderate rainfall and thunderstorms till June 8. The Meteorological department has predicted that Rayalaseema will continue to have light to moderate rainfall for the coming week.
Tirupathi recorded the highest temperature of 41.9° and Visakhapatnam recorded the lowest at 33.9°. Y.K. Reddy, director IMD, Hyderabad said, “There are a lot of clouds over and around Hyderabad, Telangana since early morning. It is likely to rain for the next few days however these are the pre-monsoon showers. We expect the monsoon to arrive by the end of this week.”
