Telangana: Schools for reopening on June 6
Hyderabad: The Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) has requested the government to advance the reopening date of schools by a week. Instead of the scheduled June 13, it sought permission to commence classes from June 6. Nearly 15,000 schools in 10 districts are members of TRSMA.
TRSMA president Srinivas Reddy said they lost a good number of days due to the advancement of the academic calendar, which commenced in the last week of March itself.
"The schools functioned for almost three to four weeks. As textbooks were not available, most schools did not concentrate on academic classes during the period. We want to make up for the lost time and hence we request the government to advance the re-opening date of schools," he said.
