Karnataka Housing Minister grabbed 4.20 acres Govt land: BJP leader
BENGALURU: Housing Minister Mr Krishnappa in collusion with a private company grabbed 4.20 acres of government property worth Rs 350 crore next to the fire department office on Bannerghatta Road under Chickpet assembly constituency, alleged BJP city spokesman N.R. Ramesh.
Releasing documents to support his stand, Mr Ramesh said, "Using his political influence, Krishnappa along with one Mustak have encroached upon government land and is building Blue Jay ARISTO apartment in the grabbed land."
Stating that the encroached land is being sold for a whopping price, Ramesh said, "Land adjacent to Byrasandra Lake with survey numbers 51, 51/1, 51/2, 51/3 A, B, C have been encroached by Mr Krishnappa and his benamis along with the support of the then chairman of BDA Shyam Bhat. The stormwater drain which ensures connectivity between Byrasandra Lake and Bismillah Nagar Lake with an area of 60,000 square feet has been completely encroached upon, he alleged.
Stating that a criminal complaint has been lodged by him against Mr Krishnappa at the ACMM court and BMTF, Mr Ramesh demanded that Mr Krishnappa be immediately removed from the cabinet.
While Mr Ramesh was addressing the media, housing minister Mr Krishnappa's supporters raised objection leading to a war of words. Mr Dayanand, executive director of Blue Jay Aristo, (which according to Mr Ramesh is being built on encroached land) dismissed Mr Ramesh's allegation and maintained that the apartment is coming up on survey number 51/2 which has been reconveyed by the BDA.
