Union information and broadcasting Minister Mr M Venkaiah Naidu had speaking at the 64th National Film Awards on Wednesday said, “Baahubali is a trend setter in all respects and bears testimony to the scale and grandeur of Indian films. It is a shining example of ‘Make In India’, essentially a home-grown feature film produced by home grown talent.”

India produces the highest number of films every year in the world. With about 1,500 films per year and 25 to 30 releases every week. The FFO acts as a facilitation point for film producers and assist them in obtaining requisite permissions, disseminate information on shooting locales as well as the facilities available with the Indian film industry for production and post production.

The Narendra Modi government has been working overtime to help foreign film crews and create an enabling environment for them and had also introduced the concept of ‘Film Visa’.
