11 naxals held for Sukma attack

The suspects were picked up from Chintalnar and Chintagufa areas.

Bhopal: Eleven people, including a minor, were on Thursday rounded up in villages close to Burkapal in Chhattisgarh’s south Bastar district of Sukma where a Maoist ambush led to killing of 25 CRPF jawans on April 24, in connection with the ghastly incident.

The suspects were picked up from Chintalnar and Chintagufa areas during search operations by security forces, for interrogation, Bastar deputy inspector general of police (DIG) P. Sunder Raj said.

He said the suspects would be arrested and produced in the court if evidence to establish their link to the Burkapal Naxal ambush would be found.
