Nellore: YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy assured the people that his governance would be better than that of his father, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
“My father made an indelible mark in your heart when you gave him a chance in 2004 and he is still alive in your hearts. I will do still better and my photo will find place next to my father after my death,” Mr Reddy said while addressing a large gathering at Stonehousepeta in Nellore on Thursday.
Mr Reddy is expected to release the party’s poll manifesto on April 6, Ugadi. He may release it in Vijayawada.
The Congress, BJP and the Jana Sena have released their manifestoes but the main parties in AP have not, worried that their manifesto would be copied.
Ending the waiting game with hardly five days left for the campaign, Mr Reddy appears to have decided to release the manifesto. He may hike the benefit to farmers under the Annadhatha Sukhibhava and give it a new name, YSR Rythu Bharosa.
In Hyderabad, Mr Reddy released a book, Adugaduguna Antharangam written by Pudi Sreehari, depicting his political career till the completion of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, at his Lotus Pond residence.
