Tirupati: Lord Sri Ramachandra rides on Vasuki and Hamsa

The devotees chanted Rama Nama and Govinda Nama as soon as they glimpsed Lord on Chinna Sesha Vahanam.

Tirupati: Lord Ramachandra Murthy on Thursday morning took out a celestial ride on the five-hooded serpent King Vasuki as part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams in TTD’s Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati.

The procession gave a visual feast to the thousands of devotees who had congregated around the thoroughfares of the temple town.

The devotees chanted Rama Nama and Govinda Nama as soon as they glimpsed Lord on Chinna Sesha Vahanam.

It is widely believed that a divine glimpse of the Lord on Chinna Sesha Vahanam, who according to mythology is none other than the King serpent Vasuki, enlightens the devout about the importance of the hidden Kundalini energy within self that enables one to attain 8.4 millionth manifestation which is believed to be the last in the cosmic life cycle.

Meanwhile, the Hamsa Vahana Seva observed in the evening enhanced the charm of Lord Sri Rama, as he took a divine ride on the gorgeous Swan vehicle to bless the devotees in Tirupati.

The cultural programmes including music fete and dance forms by Bhajan groups in front of the Vahanam added extra glamour to the celestial procession.
