Bangalore North will be made investment hub: Krishna Byregowda
Bengaluru: Congress candidate for Bangalore North, minister, Krishna Byregowda met entrepreneurs at T Dasarahalli here on Thursday to gain a better understanding of how he could work with them to make the constituency a hub for entrepreneurship should he be elected to parliament this Lok Sabha poll.
The entrepreneurs listed their demands such as the need for better Central legislation, ease of doing business and improved infrastructure for parking and connectivity in North Bengaluru. They also discussed the need to keep the definition of a startup flexible and giving startups the maximum benefits possible. The last demands were made by representatives of startups like Avalonlabs, Foxbound, The Mana Network, Lobb Logistics, IBSFINtech, Inq Innovation, Ati Motors, Fracktal Works, Trashcon, Buildinn, Enexl Technologies, Scribble Data, Knowlexon and Phalada Agro, who were present at the meeting.
Mr Krishna Byregowda, for his part, elaborated on why such discussions between elected representatives and entrepreneurs were necessary and assured that if chosen to represent the constituency in parliament, he would try to keep the communication channels open in particular with the tech sector as it was in the national interest to nurture it.
He was confident that the integration of the Namma Metro with other modes of transport would ease connectivity in the city and bring lots of opportunities for various sectors in Bengaluru North.
The minister said he intended to work with all the stakeholders of different sectors to develop the constituency as an investment destination with focus on hardware, aerospace and IT industries to boost entrepreneurship and employment.
As for startups, he said parliament played a crucial role in framing the policies necessary for them to go forward in their chosen field of work.
