KSRTC services to Tamil Nadu to be suspended today
BENGALURU: In the wake of a bandh called by opposition parties in Tamil Nadu, demanding setting up of Cauvery Management Board, KSRTC has decided to suspend all its services to Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
The transport corporation operates 450 buses to different destinations in Tamil Nadu, with 250 services operating in the morning and 200 during the night.
"Opposition parties have called for a dawn-to-dusk bandh. We don't want to take chances as protesters might target vehicles from Karnataka during the protest. We are suspending all morning services" said a KSRTC source.
"Based on the development, we will take a decision whether to resume the night service or not. If the protest takes a violent turn, we may be forced to cancel the night services too," the source said.
