ACB registers 34 graft cases across Karnataka in March
BENGALURU: The Anti-Corruption Bureau registered 34 cases of corruption across the state in March. This includes 18 cases of trap, 15 cases of disproportionate assets and one case of search on an ARTO check-post on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border.
In the 18 cases of trap, government servants or their accomplices were caught red handed accepting bribe amounts ranging from '600 to '1 lakh.
In all the cases, bribe amounts were seized and the accused were arrested and sent to judicial custody.
On March 6, offices and residences of 15 corrupt officials across the state were raided. Disproportionate assets of crores of rupees were seized from these 15 corrupt officers.
Cases were registered against them in Bengaluru, Koppal, Belagavi, Udupi, Kolar, Tumakuru, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Hassan, Davangere, Dharwad and Bidar.
