Hyderabad: A member of the Central Reserve Police Force was killed in an accident at Shadnagar on Tuesday. B. Jagan, 24, died when the car he was travelling in overturned.
According to police, Jagan was in the vehicle along with a friend who was identified as one S. Purushotham. Both were heading towards Nandigama from Kothur in a car.
When the car reached Shadnagar, Jagan, who was driving the car, lost control on the vehicle and rammed into a tree by the road. He was killed on the spot, officials said.
Purushotham meanwhile escaped with minor injuries and emergency personnel took him to a nearby hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
Jagan was attached to a CRPF unit in Chhattisgarh and had come to the city on leave. According to officials, he was visiting family here. He is survived by a wife.
