'Stand up India': Narendra Modi books first e-rickshaw through Ola

A total of 5100 e-rickshaws were distributed and 151 women receive the vehicles by the Prime Minister.

New Delhi: In a revolutionary step, Ola on Tuesday launched its e-rickshaw category on its mobile app. Prime Minister Narendra Modi books the first e-rickshaw through the Ola App as part of the 'Stand up India' initiative.

"Will also flag-off 5100 e-rickshaws under MUDRA Yojana & interact with beneficiaries, besides inaugurating a Kaushal Vikas Kendra in Noida," the Prime Minister tweeted earlier.

A total of 5100 e-rickshaws were distributed and 151 women receives the vehicles by the Prime Minister.

Modi who launched the 'Stand up India' scheme and its web portal at Sector 62 in Noida, said that the initiative would promote entrepreneurship among women, SC and ST communities.

"Today the 'Stand up India' initiative will be launched. This initiative will promote entrepreneurship among women, SC & ST communities," the Prime Minister tweeted.

In addition, the recipients will also be covered under the Pradhan Matri Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana schemes and other eight significant schemes.
