Job meet organised for the unemployed in RR district.

Hyderabad: With the academic year nearing its end, Telangana cops are conducting career guidance sessions for Intermediate and Class X students. South zone police has planned coaching sessions for students across the old city under various police stations with the help of career experts. Meanwhile, the Ranga Reddy police has already started a 100-day outreach programme for unemployed youth along with special sessions for students in the district.

Station in-charge officers are concentrating on schools in their police station limits and are helping them chose good career paths. Top cops say that this is part of advanced community policing. “We are planning the programme for students who need guidance in selecting their future careers in our area. We will call experts in the field and students can avail of their services free of cost,” said Mr V. Satyanarayana, deputy commissioner of police, south zone.

Earlier, south zone police had given several weeks of free coaching to youngsters and prepared them to apply for the new police recruitment. In Ranga Reddy district, police conducted a job meet for unemployed youth at Shabad mandal. “Many employers like the National Academy of Construction attended the meet to help youth find jobs. At the end of the meet, 57 youngsters out of 100 were selected for jobs,” said Ms Rema Rajeswari, district superintendent of police.

The district police had also selected 100 youngsters for a 100-day indoor and outdoor coaching camp. These youngsters had applied for the ongoing police recruitment. Cops in rural areas too are visiting schools along with career experts to interact with students and help them select their future careers and professions.
