Hyderabad: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy announced here on Monday that the Congress will give a PowerPoint presentation on the state of irrigation projects in Telangana state on April 9 at a private function hall here. The party hopes that the presentation will enable the people of the state judge whether it is Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao or the Congress which have a better understanding on the issue.
Addressing newsmen at the Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress presentation would be open for all, including TRS leaders. Meanwhile, the TPCC president launched a campaign undertaken by party’s Greater Hyderabad Minority wing to collect one million signatures demanding12 per cent reservations to Muslims as promised by the TRS government.
He said Congress will also launch a massive dharna demanding the 12 per cent reservations to Muslims. Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy was the first signatory for the campaign that will run till April 20. He reminded that it was on April 20, 2014, that the Chief Minister had promised 12 per cent reservations for Muslims within four months after coming to power.
