Vijayawada: KNR' in MLC poll fray

The retired teacher said that he would render his tireless services for the welfare of the employees, youth and others.

Vijayawada: Retired headmaster Kolli Nageswara Rao, who is popularly known as KNR, who had been honoured with the State Best Teacher award, on Monday said that he would file his nomination papers for forthcoming Krishna-Guntur Graduate MLC seat.

Speaking to the media here, Mr Rao said that for the past 35 years, he had been fighting for resolution of the problems faced by teachers.

He reminded that he had retired as a headmaster at Patamata High School, and had led several agitations against the government to press for teachers’ rights.

Mr Rao reminded that he had fought for CPS, PET up-gradation and raised other issues. He said that he had conducted many orientation programmes, raised his voice on social issues, and had been striving for total literacy

The retired teacher said that he would render his tireless services for the welfare of the employees, youth and others.

Mr Rao is being supported by Amaravati Teachers Association, Andhra Pradesh Unaided Schools Management Association and other teacher’s organisations besides the TD as he had been actively working for the party.

He requested all the graduates in both the capital districts Krishna-Guntur to vote for him in the coming elections.
