We are punching bag for Rahul Gandhi: RSS
New Delhi: In a dig at Rahul Gandhi, RSS on Saturday said for the Congress Vice President, the Sangh was like a punching bag.
The RSS response to Rahul's jibes in the Lok Sabha came from Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi, the second in command in the Sangh.
"Rahul Gandhi says RSS is imposing its ideology on people. For him, an organisation like the Sangh is nothing but a punching bag," he said.
On the JNU sedition row, he said the truth will prevail as the matter was before the court, and added that if there were any anti-national activities in JNU campus, these should be sternly death with and stopped.
"If any anti-national activities are taking place in JNU they should be stopped sternly. The matter is before the court and the truth will come out. Such tendencies should not be allowed to grow in centres of education, where quality education should be provided," he said.
The RSS leader also said there has always been a need to transform Indian society given the constant tension between forces of good and evil.
"Where on the one hand we had great men working to evolve the society we simultaneously had forces working to break the Indian society.
"However the greatness of Hindu culture is that our society, unlike others where fatwas and commandments govern social codes, works on the basis of the ideals shown by visionaries," Joshi said.
