KOZHIKODE: Three youngsters were killed in the early hours of Monday when the car in which they were travelling lost control and crashed into a wall at Aravankara near Malappuram. The incident was reported at the Kozhikode- Palakkad national highway- 213, near Pookottoor.
The deceased have been identified as Shihabuddin (24), son of Abdul Razak from Morayur; Sanoop (23), son of Ahamed Kutty from Kondotty; and Unais (28), son of Beeran Kutty from Mongam. The accident occurred around 3 in the morning, the police said here.
The three were taken out of the car after the fire and rescue team arrived at the spot, as the local people were struggling to retrieve them. The local people said that the 3 youngsters were dead even before they were taken out of the car. The three were travelling in a Toyato Altis. Sanoop and Unais were returning from the Karipur International Airport after picking their friend Shihab who returned from Dubai. The car has been damaged completely in the intensity of the hit. Even the gate near the wall was thrown away due to the force of the hit.
The relatives said that Unais was about to go to the Gulf for a job in few days, which was arranged by his friend Shihab who also died on the spot. The bodies have been shifted to Government Medical College Hospital at Manjeri.
