N Chandrababu Naidu neglecting telugu language, says Central Hindi Committee

Yarlagadda spoke to mediapersons after offering prayers at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Monday.

Tirupati: Central Hindi Committee member, Dr. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, on Monday, expressed concern over the decreasing patronage for the Telugu language in its own state of Andhra Pradesh, and alleged that the state government under CM N. Chandrababu Naidu was neglecting the mother tongue.

Mr. Yarlagadda spoke to mediapersons after offering prayers at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Monday. He said that Telangana was ahead of AP, as that state government had already implemented Telugu language as a compulsory subject in the syllabus from Class I.

“The Naidu government has failed to develop the universities in the state,” he alleged.
