Hyderabad: The High Court has adjourned to Monday, a petition challenging the amendment to the GO.
The government feels it would be better to bring an Ordinance instead of the GO amending the Act using Section 101 of the AP Bifurcation Act.
Before the Governor issued the ordinance, the government issued an order cancelling GO 207. Special chief secretary M.G. Gopal confirmed both the ordinance and the GO cancellation.
The ordinance is valid for six months and the High Court has powers to strike it down.
