Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chan-drababu Naidu will perform the bhoomi puja for temporary Secretariat on February 12 at 4.15 am.

According to sources, the officials of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) are making plans to start the works under the supervision of municipal minister P. Narayana.

As per the sources, the pundits have already fixed the muhurtham for initiating the temporary Secretariat works. Now the government has decided to construct the temporary secretariat at Velagapudi village in Amaravati capital location at a cost of Rs 180 crore.

The government planned to run the state administration on the premises of the temporary Secretariat from July.

Already, the CRDA has called for tenders and only two companies participated in the bidding. The tenders would be finalised on February 10.

The government planned to start the works immediately after finalising the tenders. Meanwhile, the pundits also confirmed the date, says one official, on condition of anonymity.

Now, the CRDA officials announced two per cent incentive if they completed the works successfully before July.

The companies should also pay 10 per cent amount out of the total cost, if they fail to complete the Secretariat works as per the schedule.
