Hyderabad: A man committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Humayunnagar after his wife left him and their son to go and stay with her parents on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Prabhu, a store manager, police said, adding that he married to Rani 10 years ago and the couple have an eight-year-old son.
Following a dispute on Thursday night, Rani left Prabhu and their son and went to stay with her parents and also lodged a complaint against Prabhu at the Nallakunta police station. Prabhu was depressed due to this, said the police.
“On Thursday, after feeding her son and ensuring that he had slept, Prabhu committed suicide by hanging himself in their house. The incident came to light after the boy woke up and informed his relatives over phone,” officials said.
Based on a complaint, a case was booked and investigation is on. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
