Huge jump in donations at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in 2018
Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) netted RS 204.65 crore in the form of donations received by its various trusts and schemes during 2018. It adds up to Rs 27.78 crores more than the Rs 176.87 crore it had received in 2017.
The Sri Venkateswara Nitya Anna Prasadam trust topped the list, receiving donations worth Rs 99.38 crore in 2018, up from Rs 89.92 crore received in 2017. The Sri Balaji Arogya Vara Pras-adini scheme received the second highest donation of Rs 39.97 crore in 2018, up from Rs 23.31 crore received in 2017.
The Sri Venkateswara Nitya Anna Prasadam trust had set a new record last November when donations received for TTD’s Annapras-adam Trust crossed the Rs 1,000-crore mark. Several other schemes and TTD trusts also witnessed significant increase in donations in 2018 compared to 2017.
Sri Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled received Rs 13.41 crore, The S. V. Gosam-rakshana Trust received Rs 14.66 crore, S.V. Pranadanam Trust received Rs 12.78 crore, S.V. Sarva Sreyas trust Rs 7.53 crore, S.V. Vidyadana trust Rs 8.36 crore and S.V. Vedaparirakshana trust Rs 5.44 crore.
