Thrissur: The logo of the state youth festival to be held in Thrissur from January 6 to 10 was released here on Sunday. Agriculture minister V.S. Sunil Kumar handed over the logo to Guruvyaur MLA K.V. Abdul Khader at the function at Government Model Boys School on Sunday. Irinjalakuda MLA K.U. Arunan, sub collector Renu Raj, mayor Ajitha Jayaraj, Chelakkara MLA U.R Pradeep among others were present. There will be two stages including the main stage on Thekkinkkad Maidan for the fest.
“The major change in the fest as compared to the previous years is that of grades replacing the first, second and third prices,” publicity committee convener Jeen Mookken said. The fest which was earlier a week-long, will also be shortened to five days. The cultural procession taken out before the inauguration would also be scrapped. A total of 25 stages will be there for the fest including those in Town Hall, Regional Theatre and Kerala Sahithya Akademi.
