Vigilance week at BHEL Tiruchy

Dandayudhapani also said that vigilance has to be inculcated as a habit and practiced every day.

Tiruchy: M Dandayudhapani, deputy director general, Armoured Vehicle Headquarters, Ordnance Factory Board, Avadi, said Integrity is doing right thing even when one is not being watched.

Delivering a special lecture at the valedictory function of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ held at BHEL here today, Mr. Dandayudhapani also said that vigilance has to be inculcated as a habit and practiced every day. To this end, efforts are to be taken to revisit and review all the procedures to plug the gaps in them and sensitize the students to enable them to aspire and realise the vision of eradication of corruption he added.

Later, Mr. Dandayudhapani also gave away prizes for the winners of various competitions conducted by BHEL as part of Vigilance Awareness Week.

In his presidential address R. Padmanabhan, executive director, BHEL Tiruchirappalli complex, said that observance of vigilance awareness week helps to reaffirm people's faith in integrity and ethics.

Earlier, Mr S Thyagarajan, additional general manager, vigilance, welcomed the gathering. Mr KP Mishra, senior manager, vigilance, proposed the vote of thanks.
