Telangana High Court calls SK Joshi, finance secretary on RTC funds

The bench felt that it would be proper that the Chief Secretary and finance secretary be present before the court.

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has ordered Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi, TSRTC incharge managing director Sunil Sharma, principal secretary, finance, Ramakrishna Rao and GHMC commissioner Lokesh Kumar to appear before it on November 7 to explain the RTC’s revenue and losses.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice Abhishek Reddy while dealing with petitions relating to the ongoing RTC strike had opined that Mr Sharma had intentionally filed the affidavit with misleading information.

The bench felt that it would be proper that the Chief Secretary and finance secretary be present before the court so that they could appraise the court of the facts. While asking the senior officials to be present before it, the bench also directed Mr Sharma to submit a fresh report containing factual information by Wednesday.
