Kochi: Kochi Metro Rail Limited will distribute 4000 medicinal saplings to commuters on Sunday at 10 Metro stations as part of observing Dhanwanthari Day (Nation-al Ayurveda Day) Sunday and Monday.
The plan is to distribute 10 varieties of medicinal sapl-ings. Leaflets explaining the importance of Ayurveda will also be distributed along with saplings.
KMRL will be associating with Ayush Department, State government and Ern-akulam District National Ayush Mission to observe the National Ayurveda Day in Kochi.
Dr R. Usha, District Medical Officer (Ayurveda) will inaugurate the distribution by handing over the first sapling to Rajendran A.R., general manager (Rolling Stock & Electrical) KMRL during a function to be held at MG Road Metro Station.
Dr K.A. Sauda, CMO, District Ayurveda Hospital, Dr G Rajasekharan Nair, National Ayush Mission and Dr Devidas Vellodi, Ayu-rveda Medical Association of India will also attend.
KMRL Managing Director A.P.M. Muhammad Hanish will deliver the key note address in the public meeting to be held at district Ayurveda Hospital, Erna-kulam on Monday.
