Chennai: Rebel MLAs decided to contest after TTV-Stalin meeting, says R B Udayakumar
Chennai: State Revenue Minister R.B. Udayakumar alleged that the rebel MLAs decided to contest the by-elections following a ‘secret meeting’ between DMK chief M. K. Stalin and Dhinakaran at a hotel in Madurai.
“You may ask, why should Udayakumar be concerned about this. The issue is they decided to face the by-polls only after the secret meeting. Does this mean that the democratic rights of the 18 MLAs who wanted to approach the Supreme Court against the Madras High Court order, buried to serve Dhinakaran’s political ambition?” the Minister asked.
It appears that Dhinakaran would go to any extent to sacrifice anyone to achieve his ‘vested interest.’
“People want to know why Dhinakaran, who has vowed to dethrone the AIADMK government formed by Amma (Jayalalithaa) has not criticised Stalin on any occasion. Does he lack courage or is he afraid of Stalin or does he have an alliance with Stalin’s DMK?” Mr. Udayakumar said.
