Karnataka: Sudden showers uproot 4 trees
Many roads in the city had turned into mini lakes and drains over flowing owing to the heavy deluge.
Bengaluru: A heavy deluge uprooted four trees at different parts of the city on Wednesday and flooded roads. Mayor Gangambike was seen visiting the places where the tree falls were reported and overlooking the relief works.
While two trees were uprooted in Jayamahal, one each were reported from Banaswadi, Vijayanagar. A branch had fallen from a tree at Basavanagudi.
Many roads in the city had turned into mini lakes and drains over flowing owing to the heavy deluge.
BBMP Mayor Gangambike was also seen receiving calls sitting at the BBMP control room.
Apart from the tree fall there were no casualities reported. There were no complaints relating to water logging, said a BBMP official from the control room.
