Karimnagar: An Intermediate student, belonging to a BC community, was allegedly thrashed by the family of a girl that he had been seeing at Sapthagiri Colony of Karimnagar on Wednesday over caste difference.
The victim lodged a complaint with the II-Town police. According to complainant Sai of Indurthi village in Chiguru Mamidi mandal, he has been in love with his classmate of Ogulapur village for the last four years.
According to Sai’s brother Ajay, the family members of the girl did not take too kindly to the affair and told the victim not to contact the girl.
Noticing the girl speaking to Sai over phone three days ago, the relatives of the girl thrashed him in Sapthagiri Colony when they found him alone and left him to his fate. Sai is now undergoing treatment in the government hospital in Karimnagar.
