Dr G Parameshwar fails to maintain law and order: BJP

The CM said the NIA has arrested an innocent person and someone not connected with the crime.

Bengaluru: The state unit of BJP lambasted deputy chief minister Dr G Parameshwar for not focusing on maintenance of law and order, but making the most of privileges including the zero-traffic system, on Wednesday.

Spokesperson of the state unit, Ashwathnarayana, ridiculed Dr Parameshwar for his ignorance about the arrest of a suspected Bangladeshi terrorist in connection with the attempt on the life of the Dalai Lama by officers of the National Investigation Agency. “Dr Parameshwar is not concerned about the law and order in our state,” he added.

He told the media here that Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy has indirectly supported terrorist by criticizing the NIA for arresting a suspected Bangladeshi terrorist in Ramanagara. “The CM said the NIA has arrested an innocent person and someone not connected with the crime. It shows how the CM has trying to appease minorities to secure their support ahead of forthcoming Assembly bypolls in Ramanagara”, charged Mr. Ashwathnarayana.

Another spokesperson S. Prakash slammed the Congress for encouraging Mohammed Nalapad, arrested recently for assaulting a youth in an upscale pub, to lead a protest rally against the Rafale military jet deal. “It mirrors bankruptcy in the Congress as the party has encouraged Mohammed Nalapad to participate in the protest,” he added.

He said while the previous KPCC president had clipped the wings of Mohammed Nalapad, the incumbent president, Mr Dinesh Gundu Rao, allowed him to lead protest rallies.
