Kolluru Sri Mookambika Temple mandates RT-PCR test for devotees from Kerala

Udupi: Kolluru Sri Mookambika Temple has made the RT-PCR negative certificate verification mandatory for the devotees coming from Kerala.

As per the order, every devotee entering the temple has to produce the Aadhar card at the entrance. The temple administration will note the name, address, and telephone number. Those devotees who come from Kerala should produce an RT-PCR negative certificate that is not older than 72 hours.

Karnataka government has made RT-PCR negative certificates mandatory for those coming from Kerala. Strict checking is being done in the checkpoints. The new system at the temple would help in double verification. Even if people cross the border without a negative certificate, they cannot enter the temple without the certificate.

Kollur Mookambika temple is one among the temples in Karnataka with highest revenue. Most of the devotees coming to this temple here are from Kerala. The deity of Mookambika is said to have been installed by Adi Shankara.
