Reveal names in Nayeemuddin’s dairy: R Krishnaiah

Krishnaiah alleged that the government was selectively leaking the names of the people who allegedly had links with the gangster.

Hyderabad: Backward Classes Welfare Association president R. Krishnaiah on Saturday demanded that the state government release the dairy of gangster Nayeemuddin, who was shot dead a couple of years ago, in the public domain.

Speaking to mediapersons at the Secretariat, Mr Krishnaiah alleged that the government was selectively leaking the names of the people who allegedly had links with the gangster while leaving out the names of bigwigs.

Taking exception of his name being listed in the chargesheet in the Nayeemuddin case, Mr Krishnaiah said that as a student Nayeem use to visit him for advice.

He said when some victims of Nayeemuddin approached him for help, he had talked to Nayeem over phone and asked him not to harass them. Mr Krishnaiah said he had never indulged in any sort of landgrabbing or extortion but the government had listed his name in the chargesheet.

When asked about the names in the dairy, he said, “Let the police release the dairy, the names will automatically come out.” Mr Krishnaiah demanded that the government distribute the money recovered from the gangster to his victims.
