Hyderabad: Adbuctor is accused in 48 cases
Hyderabad: Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh M. Bhagwat said Ravi Sekhar, who was arrested for kidnapping a girl, took to crime 18 years ago when he cheating his distant relative with an offer of a government job. Despite being sent to jail, he has a long record of cheating people by impersonating various government officers.
Mr Bhagwat said Sekhar was involved in 48 cases in Telangana state and AP has been convicted in 14. He faces non bailable warrants is six cases and is wanted in 12 cases. He has reportedly escaped twice from the escort police.
Mr Bhagwat said that Sekhar after releasing the victim went to Prakasam district and then came to Choutup-pal. Special teams nabbed nabbed him at the Panthangi toll gate near Choutuppal in the same stolen car (AP39 AD 4041) in which he was first seen.
