Jagan don't preach, says Bhuma Akhila Priya

Bhuma Akhila Priya reacted sharply to criticism mounted against her by YSRC party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

KURNOOL: Tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya reacted sharply to criticism mounted against her by YSRC party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at a public meeting at Nandyal on Thursday and ridiculed him by saying that it was akin to “pot calling the kettle black”. With a black mole like Silpa Mohan Reddy by his side, how can Jagan resort to preaching ethics in politics, she questioned. Speaking to this correspondent soon after Jagan’s public meeting, Ms Akhila Priya said that everyone in Nandyal knows how many false cases were foisted against Bhuma Nagi Reddy and other councillors by Silpa Mohan Reddy.

She said that it was not correct on the part of Jagan to comment that we are using the photos of the dead Bhuma Nagi Reddy and Shoba Nagi Reddy. What has Jagan done, she retorted angrily. Even before his father’s dead body arrived, he had collected signatures of MLAs to support him to become Chief Minister. She also said that Jagan has been using his father’s photo to gain sympathy even after eight years of his death. She said Jagan has stooped down to the level of a street howler.

Referring to ongoing works at Kundu river, Jagan commented that works should be put on hold till he becomes Chief Minister. She said that Jagan acknowledged that works are going on at a brisk pace. Why should we stop on going works, she said. Akhila further said it was his mother Shoba Nagi Reddy who stood by their family when Jagan was in Chanchalguda jail. How can he resort to criticizing me, so many years younger to him, without having any regard to the loyal service rendered by her mother to the family of Jagan.
